The 17th Season of the First Friday Concert Series in downtown Rome kicked off this past May 2015! This series is a joint effort of the Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID). Business and property owners within the BID district have joined together to finance services, events, and improvements including this special FREE event. The series provides free quality family entertainment in the heart of the city. As you shop and visit within the historic district, remember this series is funded entirely through their generosity.
Concerts are held on the first Friday of each month May thru September. There are a total of five First Friday concerts each promoting a different genre appealing to all audiences. The May and July concerts are block parties and will be held on Broad Street. The June, August & September concerts will take place at Bridgepoint Plaza located behind the Cotton Block. We are pleased to spotlight local talent this year. 2015 First Friday Lineup: May 1 Block Party (two stages): Curiosity Shoppe & Babe’s Bayou, June 5: Shawn Mack Band, July 3 Block Party:Tim Reynolds & Friends, August 7: Little Known Letter, September 4: Broad & Third.
Concerts are held rain or shine. No smoking. Please check the Downtown Rome, GA facebook page for updates and announcements. We encourage you to support downtown businesses by eating, utilizing services and shopping downtown before and after concerts. Non-profit vendors will be on-site to provide concessions during the Bridgepoint Plaza concerts. Join this wonderful summer tradition from May to September in Historic Downtown Rome.
