Volunteer at downtown events
The DDA Promotions Committee is responsible for assisting with several events downtown including the First Friday series, Fiddlin’ Fest, Downtown Trick-or-Treat, Romee for the Holidays, and more! We always need dependable volunteers to help! If you are interested in helping in any way, please fill-out the online volunteer form!
Serve on a downtown committee
Committee participation is an annual commitment and renewable in January each year. Committee appointments will only be made at the time of a vacancy. As stated in the by-laws, the committee chairman makes the ultimate decision to add a volunteer after discussion by the entire committee. Once a committee interest form has been reviewed, the individual will receive written notice from the committee chair. The DDA Committees are made up of Outreach, Design, Promotions, Business Development, and Parking. The purpose of each committee is listed on the Committee Interest Form obtained at the Office of Downtown Development, as well as work areas, project examples and meeting schedule. All members are required to attend and actively participate in committee meetings and events. If a member is not adhering to requirements, a member’s term can be dissolved. All meetings are held in the DDA Conference Room of the Carnegie Building, 607 Broad Street at 8:30am, and chaired by a member of the Authority. If you are interested in making a difference downtown, please contact the Office of Downtown Development today!
