March 15, 2020, Rome, GA – The City of Rome is increasing measures for the health and safety of our staff and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Rome is closing public access to all non-emergency facilities effective March 16, 2020. Although public access is restricted, all city departments can be reached via phone. HOW TO PAY FOR PARKING:
No payments will be taken in office. For Parking CITATION payments, either use the DROP BOX located by the City Water Billing entrance OR call water billing to pay over the phone OR mail to Parking Services, PO Box 1433 Rome, GA 30162-1433 OR pay online click here.
All permit fees (such as contractor payments or monthly employee/residential permit fees) should be mailed to Parking Services, PO Box 1433 Rome, GA 30162-1433.
Due to processing times, late fees will not be administered.
HOW TO FILL-OUT A CITATION APPEAL FORM OR PERMIT APPLICATION (CONTRACTOR/DUMPSTER/PARKING DECK OR LOT PERMIT):

Permits are available for contractors’ vehicles while working in the Downtown area. It is recognized that contractors need to be able to operate and work in the building during renovating with ease of access to contractor’s vehicles. It is also recognized that the downtown businesses need access to their businesses for their customers and/or clients. The Parking Office is the point of contact and is available to coordinate activities regarding contractors, material deliveries, and employee parking. Please read and complete the Contractor Permit Application and return to the Parking Office.
Contractors must attain a parking permit in order to park on-street in downtown Rome. The contractor parking fee structure for on-street parking is as follows:
- 1 Day Permit – Free
- 3 Day Permit- $25
- 7 Day Permit- $50
- 14 Day Permit- $125
- 30 Day Permit- $200
Placing dumpsters in the designated areas is free for the first two weeks and $90 for each additional two week period. The Parking Enforcement Officer is the point of contact and is available to coordinate activities regarding dumpster placement. Please read and complete the Dumpster Permit Application and return to the Parking Office.
It is recognized that at this time you may need to be able to park in front of your business or where you work for a limited period of time. Said person may complete this application to be considered for issuance of a parking pass based on a legitimate, reasonable medical necessity.
