Kick off the patriotic weekend at Bridgepoint Plaza on Friday, July 1st. The Georgia Blues Brothers, the greatest Blues Brothers Tribute band will get started at 7 p.m. Don’t forget your lawn chairs. Children can jump on the inflatables for a minimal fee. Non-profit vendors are on site for refreshments. The free concert ends at 10 p.m. Thanks to the Business Improvement District (BID) for funding this annual community event.
Rome’s very own, Tim Reynolds, returns to Broad Street on Saturday, July 2nd to celebrate the Independence holiday. Tim Reynolds & Friends play on stage at 4th Avenue and Broad Street between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. This Broad Street concert is presented by Heritage First Bank, North Georgia Distributing Company and the downtown Business Improvement District (BID). They are sure to give you goosebumps with their amazing harmonies and instrumental talents. Reynolds even caught the attention of superstar Taylor Swift. Grab your family, friends, and lawn chairs and meet on Broad Street. Don’t forget to shop and dine before, during and after the concert. Broad Street closes to traffic in the 300 and 400 blocks at 3:30 p.m., so please plan ahead. Children may jump on the inflatables for a minimal fee. The Exchange Club of Rome plans to distribute American flags. Adult beverages may be purchased from the restaurants within these 2 blocks during the event and taken on street with an armband. No alcohol is allowed on the street after 10 p.m. Coolers are not allowed.
