The Office of Downtown Development kicks off event season with the annual Artsfest Saturday, May 7th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spread throughout Historic Downtown Broad Street will be over fifty-five arts and craft vendors, more than ten non-profits providing kid activities, live music, and more!
The arts and craft vendors will have items such as pottery, handmade jewelry, door signs, and more! Pick up your last-minute Mother’s Day Gift! Our non-profits will have kids’ crafts and paintings, face painting, cornhole, and a multitude of other activities! Java Joy will be selling coffee and tie-dye t-shirts. Don’t forget to bring your dog for a paw portrait activity with The Sweet Cocoon! We are so thankful to the following non-profits for participating: Habitat for Humanity, Haven Health, Alton Holman Heritage Arts, The Sweet Cocoon, Compassionate Paws, the Shakespeare Festival, Boy Scouts, PFLAG of Rome, Java Joy, and the Rome Area Council for the Arts.

Trips will depart from the Heritage Park boat dock. Purchase Tickets HERE. It would also be a great day to take advantage of the downtown trail system.
Our shops will be hosting sidewalk sales and don’t forget to enjoy a fabulous meal at one of our downtown restaurants! Broad Street will not be closed to traffic. Please keep in mind the three-hour per day parking limit. Free all-day parking can be found in the 4th Ave deck.
